Slot Sensors
Pepperl+Fuchs’ photoelectric offering also includes a special design of a through-beam sensor called a slot sensor. It is used where only a short sensing distance is needed.
Slot sensors have the advantage, in comparison to standard through-beam sensors, of a simpler electrical installation, since wiring is only required for one device. In addition, there are no alignment issues between the emitter and receiver.
