Continuity in a New Type of Company

Market proximity and flexibility are the most important demands made on a forwardlooking distribution company that is part of a globally-active organization.

In order to appropriately represent this market proximity and flexibility within the legal and organizational structure of a German distributor, Pepperl+Fuchs has decided to outsource German distribution for second quarter of 2009 to one of its own companies – Pepperl+Fuchs Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH.

The same German distributor will operate in two areas of business – factory automation and process automation. Long-standing sales managers Rainer Niess and Jörg Schneider will be the executive directors of the new distribution company. All contact persons will remain as previously.

Within the newly-founded distribution company, the regional sales offices set up in 2008 in Mannheim, Friedberg, Wernau, Dortmund, Hanover and Berlin will remain unchanged as parts of the factory automation area. At a local level, they will facilitate efficient commercial and technical support, short trips and a flat hierarchy.

By taking this step, Pepperl+Fuchs has created another prerequisite for furthering its success through innovation and proximity to its customers.
