Inclination Sensor with Approval for Use in Public Highway Traffic Applications

The Federal Motor Vehicle Authority has awarded the e1 Type Approval to the F99 series inclination sensors


F99 Inclination Sensors – now approved for use in public highway traffic applications
In Europe, industrial sensors that are installed in vehicles require the approval of the Federal Motor Vehicle Authority. The F99 inclination sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs received the e1 type approval in November 2008.

Now the F99 inclination sensors can be used in many mobile equipment applications.

Examples:

  • Heavy goods vehicles: Indication of the inclination of loading ramp walls
  • Lifting devices: Alignment of lifting platforms
  • Construction machinery: Monitoring of drilling angles
  • Fork lift trucks/ stackers: Monitoring the inclination of the fork
